Similar to City Campus 01, this alternative design for the dormitory complex shares the same program but is situated on a separate plot of land nearby. Together, they offer thoughtful interpretations of the role of architecture and nature in university-level education.

City Campus 02’s stepped design is equipped with a double-skin façade, utilizing a systematic grid for shading devices. Clad with colored panels, the shading devices lend the building a distinctive and playful identity, reflecting the youthful culture of its residents.

The design also incorporates various natural features. Landscaped urban gardens occupy the façade’s recesses, while rainwater collection systems, renewable energy sources, outdoor shading devices, and energy-efficient control systems underscore the project’s eco-conscious approach. A modular system is implemented in the room layouts, with mobile partitions allowing for great flexibility in space planning across the different floors, based on the university’s population demand. Communal areas carved between the rooms connect different floors together and open onto the dense urban skyline.
