The project derives its name from the trilliant cut in gemology; a triangular, faceted form most commonly associated with diamonds. This reference informs both the architectural language and the composition of three interconnected towers, conceived as a unified yet articulated ensemble. Their geometry expresses the precision and brilliance of a crystalline object, while their arrangement creates a dynamic interplay between mass, void, and light. As sunlight moves across the façades, shifting reflections and shadows evoke the facets of a cut stone, reinforcing the project’s identity as a geometric exploration at urban scale.
Located at the northernmost point of Dubai Maritime City, the project occupies a unique site where the land does not simply meet the sea, but bends around it. At this point, the natural curvature of the coastline creates a distinctive condition that became central to the design.
Rather than aligning the towers to that curvature, they are positioned in a counter-curve to the site’s edge, following and responding to this geometry. This arrangement defines a generous open plaza between the towers and the curved waterfront, opening the project outward and allowing panoramic views from all sides.
At the heart of this composition, the plaza becomes a green urban oasis shaped by the relationship between architecture and terrain. More than a residual space, it is conceived as a protected landscape carved from the geometry of the site itself. The plaza extends inland through a large sculptural stair that connects it to the park behind the towers. From there, the landscape continues through the podium as a canyon-like form, drawing light, air, and greenery deep into the development while creating a continuous connection between the waterfront and the park beyond.
Through this integration of form, site, and landscape, the project becomes more than a group of towers. It forms a cohesive urban environment where crystalline geometry and inhabitable terrain converge, defining Trilliant as both a landmark and an integral part of the city fabric.
